With two litters at the same time and one of the moms being a major gate jumper, we have had to set up some special arrangements for Blue and her sweet pup.With only mom for body heat, we knew that we needed a covered box for them to keep away drafts and such. We took a large plastic sided carrier, removed the door (so Blue has a chance to take her well deserved breaks) and placed it inside the kiddie pool. He is a wiggle worm but hasn't mastered crawling up the sides just yet ;) They cuddle, nurse and nap in there - their own private casa - the perfect solution.
